Musical Quiz - Andrew Powell
As Queen Elizabeth became our longest serving monarch Anthony's quiz and music had a patriotic flavour.Instead of our usual 'Jerusalem' we started the evening with 'God Save The Queen'. The choir assisted in our hearty renditions of 'Rule Brittannia', 'Land of Hope and Glory'', There'll always be an England', 'As Time Goes By' (incidentally one of the Queen's favourite songs) and 'We'll Meet Again'. There was much flag waving and we raised a toast to Her Majesty.
You can listen to our singing on our Facebook Page here.

Barbara reported that we received £150 contribution from Sid Vale Athletics for our support on the day. All money from the raffle would go to Denman College. She has received some enquiries about our cookbook and copies will be on sale at the Autumn Council Meeting. |
