E.L.F - Our Charity for 2015
Exeter Leukemia Fund ELF, was founded in 1987. ELF’s vision is that every family affected by blood cancers and blood disorders across the South West receives compassionate, tailored support. 5 people in the Exeter area are diagnosed each week with a blood cancer. In 2003 ELF funded 63% of the cost for a new Hematology ward at RDE hospital. In 2013 they launched a community support program focusing on providing accommodation, transport and supporting the patient and their family. Barbara presented a cheque for £600, a substantial amount of which was raised from the sale of the knitted elves.
